Stephen Bernas is an Associate Vice President in our Large Surveys Practice and an IT expert with 25+ years of experience in computer systems for 趣赢平台’s largest, most complex field studies. As the director of IT for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), Bernas oversees all aspects of continuous NHANES operations and leads a team of analysts, database administrators, developers, testers, and infrastructure specialists. He monitors all NHANES IT systems, is responsible for system design for all pilot tests and feasibility studies, and ensures that all systems are in accordance with client specifications and expectations to meet the study’s nearly 24/7 data collection requirements.
Since 2017, Bernas has also served as systems director for the U.S. components of the Program for International Student Assessment and the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study, with large data collections for these surveys conducted simultaneously.
